Prices in Germany including VAT. In other countries the App Store shows the price in your currency. Payment is handled by Apple only. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before they renew.

What can I photograph?
Letters from authorities, landlords, banks or insurers, bills, reminders, contracts and forms, but also e-mails, text messages and WhatsApp messages as screenshots. You can also simply paste text.
How much does the app cost?
You get 5 free explanations to get started, then 1 explanation per month. The scam check is always free. If you need more: Plus for €2.99 a month or €19.99 a year, Family for €4.99 a month, or a 10-pack for €3.99.
Is this legal advice?
No. The app explains letters and messages but does not replace legal advice. For appeals, cancellations, court matters or large amounts, an advice centre or a lawyer can help you.
Can the app make mistakes?
Yes, that can happen. The explanation is created by artificial intelligence. Always check important details such as dates, amounts and account numbers in the original letter.
What happens to my photos?
The image or text is sent encrypted to our server and to our AI partner Anthropic (Claude), only to create the explanation. We don't store your images. Saved deadlines stay on your iPhone only. Read more in our privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
No. You don't need to sign up or give an e-mail address.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top and then “Subscriptions”. There you can cancel Brief verstanden Plus, at least 24 hours before it renews.
How does the Family plan work?
With Apple Family Sharing, up to 6 people can use Plus. Everyone uses the app on their own iPhone.
Does the 10-pack expire?
No, the 10 explanations never expire. They are valid on the iPhone on which you bought the pack.
Is there an Android version?
At the moment Brief verstanden is only available for iPhone.
